Guys what we've been waiting for all summer finally happened! The Dynamic Duo, Chicago’s own Batman and Robin, Kane and Toews signed with the Blackhawks for 8 more years! Reports were saying that the two were asking for 12 mil each.

Well looks like they settled with 10.5 mil each, signing identical contracts through 2022-2023. 

They are now the highest paid athletes in the NHL. The back to back draftees have been paired together for more than 7 years now. The two have always been compared, whether it be with goals, medals, or dance moves

There is never one clear winner, unless of course it's a popsicle eating contest. 

The two compliment each other on and off the ice. Their synchronization on the ice is impeccable. The playmaker and the goal scorer. 

Off the ice they have got each other’s back. 

The Blackhawks now have that deadly duo until 2022-2023 as well as two-time Norris Trophy winner Duncan Keith. Corey Crawford, Niklas Hjalmarsson and Marian Hossa also all have long-term contracts with the Blackhawks. Next year Chicago will run into a few problems when they have to try and resign Patrick Sharp, Bryan Bickell, and Brandon Saad all under the new cap.
