Game 1. Sept 16th
The Boston Bruins kicked off their preseason on Monday night against their hated rivals, the Montreal Canadiens. The lines were as such:(forwards) Lucic-Krejci-Iginla, Fraser-Soderberg-Cunningham, Camara-Spooner-Johnson, Paille-Fallstrom-Thornton (d-pairing) Krug-McQuaid, Bartowski-Miller, Cross-Trotman. Milan Lucic, David Krejci, and Shawn Thornton were all reppin' an A on their jerseys. Chad Johnson and Malcolm Subban split the game in net. Of course NHL Network made it all about brother vs brother (PK Subban/ Malcolm Subban).
Big shocker, Shawn Thornton claimed the first penalty of the game for interference. The Bruins got on the board first. Just 8:29 into the 1st period, Jarome Iginla's got his first goal in a Bruins uniform, on the power play no less. "Well set-up play with Krug settling things down up top, Lucic fakes up to Krug & jets it over to Iginla."(^CS
Bruins Twitter) The first two shots on net for the Habs result in a rebound goal by Travis Moen to tie the game (Not a good start for Chad Johnson). The Bruins answer with another power play goal from the top of the right circle by Nick Johnson (No relation to shitty Chad). The first ends with a Paille shorthanded breakaway chance, but Price comes up with the save. 2-1 Bruins
The second period begins with a cross-check from Lucic on LeBlanc that starts some pushing and shoving in front of the penalty box. Lucic and Krug end up in the penalty box and the Habs have a 5-3 chance. PK Subban slaps one past Johnson and the game is tied again. Nick Johnson picks up his own rebound and slides his second goal in past Price.(3-2) A very back and forth game, concussion movie theater goer Pacioretty then tied it up once again. 10:51 left in the second and both teams switch goalies. "Malcolm Subban heads between the pipes for his spoked-B debut at the Bell Centre. 'Suuu-bban, Suuu-bann' rains down from Habs fans"(^CS
Bruins Twitter) The Bruins have more good chances, but nothing solid. The period ends 3-3.
The third period starts and McQuaid gets in a tussle with Fournier and they tackle each other down to the ice. Iginla shows Bruins fans he's here to stay and gets his second goal of the game. 4-3 Bruins. Krejci nets a one-timer from the left circle and the Bruins take a two goal lead. 5-3 Bruins. They weren't done yet as Trotman fired a laser shot from the point to make it 6-3. Did I mention that was the Bruins fourth, yes FOURTH, power play goal of the game. The Bruins beat the Habs 6-3, but the talk of the night was the PP unit. Out of six power play chances the Bruins capitalized four times. MIND BLOWN! Keep it up boys!
Game 2. Sept 17th
The second preseason game was Tuesday against the Washington Capitals. The Bruin's 'B' team had a chance to show their spunk. For game 2 the lines were: (forwards) Marchand-Khokhlachev-Eriksson, Caron-Kelly-Smith, Downing-Camper-Knight, Florek-Lindblad-Robins (d-pairing) Seidenberg-Hamilton, Warsofsky-Boychuk, Morrow-Casto. Chris Kelly, Dennis Seidenberg, and Johnny Boychuk sporting the A's. Niklas Svedberg and Tuukka Rask split the game between the pipes. Gregory Campbell, Patrice Bergeron, and Zdeno Chara are the only members not to play a game yet. Soup and Bergy are being cautious with previous injuries and Zdeno's reason for not playing in the past two games was, "Just Coach's decision to rest some guys & a chance to look at prospects."(^CS

The first period goalie match-up was Rask vs Holtby. Bobby Robin's scrappiness results in a fight with Dane Byers. The Caps score first with a shot sneaking in right under the crossbar from Tom Wilson. The first ends with the B's trailing 1-0 and the shots 9-8, favoring the Caps.
Rask finished the second with 14 saves on 15 shots. Svedberg swaped with Rask with 8:45 left in the second still down by one. The teams left for their locker rooms early because a pane of glass fell to the ice and broke. The teams played 4 minute when they returned then switched sides of the ice for the third period. Shots were 17-13 Caps. 1:11 left in the second and the Caps get on the board again by Casey Wellman. 44.3 left in the second and the Bruins got their first goal from Justin Florek to make it 2-1 into the third.
The teams swapped ends and the third started with a penalty shot opportunity for Cap's Nathan Walker, but Svedberg made the stop. Chris Kelly tied it up with a laser from the right circle. The third ends still tied and headed for overtime. Shots 28-26 Bruins.
Nothing exciting happened in OT so we headed to a shootout (you know you've missed them).
Svedberg stopped the first shooter and Koko put one in 5-hole, 0-1
Ovechkin scored and Eriksson was stonewalled, 1-1
Backstrom's efforts were foiled and Marchand couldn't sneak one in, 1-1

Brouwer put a wet paint sign top self, fortunately Warsofsky scored on a sweet backhand 2-2

Carter Camper came up clutch and won the game for the Bruins 3-2! Way to go CC!
Game 3. Sept 19th
The third preseason game is tonight (HOME!) against the newbies in the east, and fellow Original Sixer, the Detroit Red Wings. The Bruins announced earlier that Gregory Campbell is expected to play in tonights game! The projected lines for tonight are: (forwards) Lucic-Krejci-Iginla, Fraser-Soderberg-Johnson, Flick-Spooner-Caron, Paille-Campbell-Cunningham (d-pairing) Chara-Hamilton, Bartowski-Trotman, Krug-McQuaid. Malcolm Subban will play the entire game tonight in net. (Was it the Chad? Yes the Chad was horrible) I am pumped that Soup is playing tonight, too bad I won't be able to see it on my TV -_-
NHL Network decided to show Toronto vs Ottawa tonight and NESN is slacking with their preseason coverage. You can watch the game tonight on
