Pros and Cons

Alright so this week was a bit of a roller coaster week for the Bruins. They played three games, winning 2 and losing 1. Here are some of the pros and cons of the week by game.

Pros:

Vs. San Jose Sharks:
-Gregory Campbell scored his first goal of the season
-Seth Griffith scored his first NHL goal
-Milan Lucic was the 1st star with 3 assists
-Tuukka Rask saved 31 out of 34 shots
-The Bruins won 5-3

Vs. New York Islanders
-Johnny Boychuk returned to the Garden all smiles
-Milan Lucic scored again (point streak!)
-Rene sang the Canadian anthem in honor of the Ottawa shooting
-The Bruins won in faceoffs 36-24

Vs. Toronto Maple Leafs
-David Krejci was showing off some playoff Krejci juice and scored a beauty goal
-Any game where Gregory Campbell scores is a good game in my eyes
-Dougie Hamilton showed off his young speed and snuck one by to get his second goal of the season
-The Bruins excelled in faceoff, winning 41-27
-The Bruins overall looked to be jelling better and won the game 4-1

Cons:

Vs. San Jose Sharks:
-The Sharks had more shots on goal, hits, faceoff wins, and less giveaways
-The Sharks scored two goals in 37 seconds late in the second period (not okay)

Vs. New York Islanders
-Johnny Boychuk was playing for the wrong team
-The Sharks out shot the Bruins 38-32
-The Bruins had 10 giveaways
-The Bruins lost 3-2
-Chara tore his posterior cruciate ligament in his left knee
-Our Captain is now out for 4-6 weeks

Vs. Toronto Maple Leafs
-The Bruins got sloppy with five minutes left in the game and blew a shutout for Tuukka
-The Paille to Soup goal made me miss Shawn Thornton loads. (RIP Merlot Line!)

That's all I've got folks. The Bruins take on the Wild on Tuesday, the Sabres on Thursday, and the Senators on Saturday. Have a good Sunday everyone and until next week!
