Well wasn't that ending just a huge 'screw you Peter Chiarelli'. The Bruins lose in a shootout Tuesday night and the goal scorers? Only right that they were Tyler Seguin and Rich Peverley. A lot of people were getting their panties in a not because Seguin put his glove up for fist bumps as he skated past the Bruins bench after going five-hole on Tuukka.
Seriously? Why is this something to get upset about? Maybe old habits die hard or maybe he was just trying to be an ass, either way I don't even care. This 21 year old kid had been booed, taunted, and heckled all game long and gave the biggest middle finger back to the crowd in the only way acceptable.
As for Rich Peverley, who actually won the game for Dallas, his goal was more of a 'hey remember me, no hard feelings but wasn't that rich!'. Peverley just snuck a quick wrister right by Tuukka and just like that the game was over. Poetic justice for the two ex-Bruins.
Some other aspects of the game Tuesday night:
- I really don't think Loui Eriksson was ready to come back yet
- Riley Smith was playing in beast mode
- I thought Chara was going rip Jamie Benn's face off
- Johhny SMASH Boychuk
- Marshy was trying so hard to show off in front of his boy
- Who even knows who that Fiddler guy is?
