Dance Off

Once upon a time in 2010 Patrick Kane got a little wild after the Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup. He attended a Jimmy Buffett concert and danced onstage to 'Boat Drinks', and the rest is history.

Blackhawks TV got a hold of the footage and shared it with Kane's teammates. The Result? 

The Kaner Shuffle! 

And utter ridicule of course. 

The Kaner Shuffle became well known in the Blackhawks organization. At the 2011 4th annual convention a fan asked for a reincarnation...

Blackhawks TV (bhtv) had a lot of fun with it and I'm sure his teammates did too. In almost any bhtv special you will find Kane doing his dance. 

Most recently Jonathan Toews unintentionally gave Kane a run for his money with the Tazer Moonwalk. Apparently winning the Stanley Cup gets their booties moving. 

Yes while it is bitter sweet that he is victory dancing on our Garden ice, it still makes me chuckle. He is just so goofy and you really don't see 'Captain Serious' bust a move very often. 

To everyones delight, the dancing Hawks was yet again brought up at the 6th annual convention. This clever fan had the impeccable idea to suggest a....DaNcE oFf!!

Drink it in, drink it in! I don't know about you all but I'm giving it to Kaner. He really has perfected that shuffle. Toews, first off what is that face? Kane just showed you up!  Let's hope there are many more dancing videos and teammate's reactions because let's be honest, this is what I live for. Who doesn't love to see hockey players dancing ridiculously while their manly teammates relentlessly make fun of them!  Now enjoy a random gif of Chris Evans Kaner Shuffling.
