Hey All,
I apologize for being MIA for the past two months, work and end of the semester work really had me skating on thin ice. I have some ideas on posts I plan on writing soon and hopefully this semester I will find spare time to write more frequently.
I need to play some catch up with what has being going on with the Bruins though (or should I say the Providence Bruins). *cough cough* Will the real Boston Bruins please stand up. 8 Wins and 5 Loses in the 13 games in December and undefeated in 2014, not too shabby for an injury/flu ridden team. And how about those fights the other day against the Jets? Back to back to back. Zdeno Chara and Chris Thorburn in the first period, Matt Fraser and James Wright about 2 seconds later, and McQuaid against Mark Stuart(former Bruin) in the third period. I was not sure if I was watching Fightclub or a hockey game for a few minutes, but Krug reminded me with his 2 goal game.
The Bruins play the Anaheim Ducks Tuesday at 10pm, must be nice to be in sunny California right about now. (Stop rubbing it in CS) "Practice lines--White: Lucic-Krejci-Iginla, Gold: Marchand-Bergeron-Smith, Grey: Söderberg-Spooner-Fraser, Merlot: Florek-Campbell-Paille^CS" Excuse me, but what in the world is our third line? I would also like to sing the praises of Riley Smith because that kid is a grade A beaut. Where has he been hiding? He's so skilled with the puck and fast! I love him and Krug because they are not afraid to shoot the puck! I hope both of them have a big night out in Anaheim.
Things to look forward to:
-Summary of the World Juniors
-USA Olympic Roster announcement (wtf no B.Ryan?).
-The Winter Classic (or just the third period of it)
-The Shawn Thornton incident.
I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and are ready to get back to some sarcastic hockey talk from yours truly!
Fun Facts:
-Krejci was named to the Czech Olympic roster Monday!
-Naoko had a baby boy this past Saturday!
